“JMAM I” is the new screen print by Mazatl, a limited edition of 27.
The illustrations in this series represent a whimsical anthropomorphic interpretation of imaginary entities, evolving from spontaneous doodles into intricate artworks. Influenced by the spirit realms—frequently disregarded in contemporary society—these pieces embody an ongoing dialogue between the ethereal and the tangible. They invite reflection on our intrinsic connection to a more subtle communication: one articulated through the gentle rustling of leaves, the rhythmic ebb of ocean waves, and, profoundly, the whispers of our inner selves.
